Kansas City native and "Saturday Night Live" cast member Jason Sudeikis flips the switch Thanksgiving night. With the flip of a switch, over 80 miles of multi-colored bulbs illuminate the Country Club Plaza district as nearly 300,000 spectators applaud the start of the holiday season.

Kansas City Ballet’s The Nutcracker is the largest production in an eight state region.
